Aeterna Lab is a bespoke fine art printing lab dedicated to colour accuracy and paper expertise. We specialise in matching artwork to its closest printable medium to ensure faithful reproductions and accurate results.

We use the highest quality fine art equipment, materials and printing techniques to ensure confidence in every print. Our fine art paper offerings are guaranteed to meet the most demanding standards for archival longevity, colour accuracy and are rated to retain perfect colour permanence for over 75 years under typical lighting conditions and have an archival rating of 200+ years for colour and 400+ years for black & white prints when kept in recommended conditions.

Epson P9560

We use Epson’s flagship SureColor P9560 large format fine art printer. This printer is highly acclaimed for producing the highest quality available to the fine art printing world. Combined with the latest Epson Ultrachrome Pro12 inks this printer is capable of producing unparalleled colour brilliance and accuracy.

Backed up by our profiles which indicate an average colour accuracy of less than ΔE < 1 (delta E) on any of our photographic papers and less than ΔE < 2 (delta E) on our matt paper choices.

We offer a selection from soft delicate cotton rag for wedding photographers to deep vibrant baryta photo papers for the discerning landscape photographer.

After careful consideration and experimentation we have selected stocks from AwagamiHahnemuhle, and Ilford.

All of our paper offerings have been meticulously profiled in-house with state-of-the-art x-rite/pantone certified equipment to ensure exceptional colour accuracy and brilliance.

While choosing the right paper stock is a personal choice, we can give suggestions to help you achieve your final image.

Awagami

Hahnemuhle

Hahnemuhle is no stranger in the art world. Originating from a German paper mill in 1584 they have developed papers for all uses of the art community. Their matt paper stocks have detailed non-uniform textures that make it the ideal choice for watercolour artists and traditional painters. While Hahnemuhle have been manufacturing art papers for over 400 years they are still at the forefront of innovation, creating a stir with their recent Photo Rag Metallic and encouraging discussion on sustainability with their Natural Line of papers.
